Meet Jonathan Kaan

     Jonathan Kaan has been an active teacher, performer, adjudicator, and collaborative artist for more than fifteen years. Jonathan currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Music and Assistant Director of the Honors Program at ETBU. Prior to ETBU, Jonathan held faculty positions at Kilgore College, Dallas County College, and Tarrant County College. In addition to his college teaching responsibilities, he maintained a very active private piano studio.
     Jonathan received his bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance from East Texas Baptist University in 2004. Shortly after ETBU, Mr. Kaan earned his master’s degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from Baylor University.

     Outside of his teaching responsibilities, Jonathan also serves as the Music Director of Alpine Presbyterian Church and the Co-Artistic Director at Greater Longview Children's Choir Association.
