Dr. Jan Jones Forester, a seventh generation Texan, was reared in Carthage, Texas. She earned her Bachelor and Master degrees from the University of Texas in Austin. After receiving a doctorate in piano pedagogy and performance from the University of Miami, she studied internationally at Salzburg College.

She taught at Broward College in Fort Lauderdale, Fl. and at East Texas Baptist University. She now resides in Longview, Texas with her husband Sam and operates Creative Keyboards.

Mrs. Forester has performed with the Longview Symphony and at Longview Bach’s Lunches, and many other community programs. She initiated the home concert series to raise funds for the Longview

Symphony and the Longview Opera and Arboretum. She has written children’s musicals and presently serves as pianist for First Baptist Church Longview.
